About runsonwhat-bot

If you found runsonwhat-bot/1.0 in your logs, it’s us. We index which software tools companies use, from public records, and show the evidence behind every match.

What it reads

  • Public DNS records: TXT, SPF, MX, DMARC, and a short list of common DKIM selectors and subdomains.
  • Your homepage, the scripts it loads, and its tag-manager container, the same files any browser downloads.
  • A subprocessor or DPA page only if your homepage links to it. We never guess URLs.
  • /robots.txt, /.well-known/security.txt and /llms.txt.

How it behaves

  • It obeys robots.txt. Disallow runsonwhat (or everything for *) and it reads only public DNS.
  • A visit is a handful of requests, and the same site is visited at most about once a month.
  • It never logs in, submits forms, or tries to reach anything that isn’t public.

Opt out

Add this to your robots.txt, or email hello@runsonwhat.com with your domain and we’ll stop scanning it and delete what we have.
